Chinese New year Graphic Comments
Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the Lunar New Year, especially by people outside China. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival.
For this year, January 26, 2009 is the first day of the Chinese new year. 2009 is the Year of the Ox, which is also known by its formal name of Ji Chou.
And since it is Chinese New Year on the 26th, I better get ready for some diet pills as Chinese always serve festive foods throughout the New Years season. Certain foods are served because they symbolize abundance and good fortune.
Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year
