Gerry Peñalosa Vs Juan Manuel Lopez Fight will be on April 25, 2009. The fight will be live at Puerto Rico where Manuel Lopez home town is.
Fearless WBO bantamweight champion Gerry Penalosa will move up in weight to fight rising star and super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez on April 25 at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
“They say I’m old and my days are numbered…” Penelosa recently told Filipino boxing journalist Dennis Principe. “Then we’ll see in this fight with Lopez. I know he is a tough fighter and fights toe-to-toe but I think he is still young. At this stage of our careers, I feel I am capable of beating him.”
Peñalosa said even as he is now preparing for life after boxing, he just can’t shake off the lure of the ring. At 36, Peñalosa said he is still a hungry fighter with dreams of challenging unbeaten WBO superbantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez of Puerto Rico and facing Daniel Ponce de Leon in a rematch.
Peñalosa now runs his own boxing gym in Kamuning where he will host a press conference this morning.
Peñalosa and wife Goody recently launched a new whitening soap called Kojic, now available in SM and Watson’s stores nationwide. The soap comes in three colorways (pink, green, blue-and-white) and four versions (normal, sensitive, glutathione, placenta) at a price range of P65 (for normal) to P90 (for placenta). The soap is manufactured in Antipolo using a Japanese formula and Japanese raw materials.
A billboard in Cubao promoting Kojic soap shows Peñalosa and Goody with the tagline “Behind every knockout is a beauty that glows.”

Anyway, I know my aunt will watch his game live in Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. But I'm not sure if she will stay first in San Diego California hotel. Because I heard she will go to California first.
I really hope Gerry Peñalosa will win the game. So let see what will happen on April 25, 2009.
