The Lopez Memorial Museum has teamed up once again with Pilipinas Street Plan, Knowledge Channel and Boysen Paints for Gawa/Laro: Toymaking Workshop Part 2 to be held on April 16, 9am-12noon. Open to kids ages 6-above, the workshop will have them paint a taka, a traditional art form of Paete, Laguna, to create a toy. The toymaking activity, complemented by a demonstration on how to make a taka, provides young participants with the opportunity to know and work with a traditional artform. Toys made by the participants will become part of the exhibit sale sometime October or December to be handled by Art Cabinet.
